Abstract

PURPOSE: An ID and password management system is provided to enable a user to manage the IDs and passwords, for accessing various web sites, in a home site and to access and login a wanted web site without other ID and password input process just by clicking the web site link registered in the home site so that it can reduce an access time or process. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises steps of a user accessing a home site for storing and managing the IDs and passwords for logging in various web sites(10), the user selecting a new web site registration or a web site link in the home site(11), the home site displaying a registration form for filling in the information needed to login the web site, and the user filling in the registration form in the case that the user selects the new web site registration(12, 13), the home site displaying a list of registered web sites, the user selecting one web site, a CGI program transmitting a corresponding ID and password to a web browser, and the user logging in the selected web site without other approval process(14,15).
