Abstract

PURPOSE: A rubber gasket composition is provided that prevents leaking water and absorbs the vibration of a drum, not to influence on the body of the drum. CONSTITUTION: The gasket composition comprises 30 to 60 wt% of oil extended synthetic rubber, 5 to 20 wt% of siliceous filler, 5 to 20 wt% of calcium carbonate, 5 to 15 wt% of petrolic softening agent, 0.5 to 2 wt% of vulcanizing promoter, 2 to 10 wt% of processing aid, 0.1 to 3 wt% of polyethylene glycol(PEG), 0.5 to 2 wt% of pigment, 0.1 to 1 wt% of antiaging agent and 0.2 to 1 wt% of conventional rubber vulcanizing sulfur as a curing agent. The preparation of the gasket comprises the step of : mixing the above mentioned components in a conventional mixer(Banbury mixer) in a temperature range of 80 to 130°C within 10min; shaping into a ribbon type sheet having a thickness of 6 to 10mm in a conventional open roll; cooling in a refrigerator; aging for about 12 hrs.; shaping into a desired form by vulcanizing at a temperature of about 140 to 170°C for 3 to 5 min.; and then packaging via the processing.

상기와 같은 본 발명은 원료고무 자체에 OIL이 함유되어있는 OIL EXTENDED EPDM의 사용으로 인해 같은 경도의 혼합물의 경우 많은량의 충진제 사용이 가능하여 원료단가가 절감되고 인장강도가 높은 장점이 있고, 합성고무로서 내후성(내오존성)이 매우 강한 EPDM을 사용함으로써 세탁 기의 장기간 사용시에도 오존에 의한 노화가 거의 없어 만일의 경우 가스 켓의 노화로 인해 발생하는 누수등의 위험이 없으며, 높은 온도에서 장기간 사용할 경우 열에 의한 노화를 방지하기 위해 내열성 향상용 노화방지제를 사용함으로써 이에 의해 드럼세탁기의 세탁시 고열(삶는 빨래방식)에 의한 제품의 경도상승이나 인장강도 신율저하등의 문제를 극복하였다. 그리고 제품의 마모에 의한 노화를 방지하고, 탄성 및 보강효과가 매우 우수한 백색의 실리카계 충진제를 사용하여 내마모성, 인열강도, 복원력 등의 물성이 향상된 특징이 있을 뿐 아니라, 원료고무와 실리카계 충진제의 혼합성과 분자간의 결합을 용이하게 하기위해 POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL을 사용하여 원료와 충진제의 결합력이 높아진 장점이 있다. 그리고 색소를 소량 첨가함으로써 제품의 색상이 선명하고, 맑은 효과가 있어 색소를 사용하지 않았을 때에 비해 제품의 외관이 수려한 장점이 있고, 고무사출방식의 성형방식을 사용함으로써 종래의 시트 타발 후 압축성형 방식에 비해 생산속도가 월등히 빠르며, 수 작업의 혼련물 타발공정이 삭제됨으로써 이에 따른 이물질 혼입에 대한 색상불량 발생율이 낮을 뿐만 아니라 삭제된 공정만큼 생산성도 좋아진 장점이 있는 것이다.The present invention as described above has the advantage of using a large amount of filler in the case of the mixture of the same hardness due to the use of OIL EXTENDED EPDM containing the OIL in the raw material rubber itself has the advantage of reducing the raw material cost and high tensile strength, synthesis As the rubber uses EPDM which has very strong weather resistance (ozone resistance), there is almost no aging due to ozone even in the long-term use of the washing machine.Therefore, there is no risk of leakage caused by aging of the gasket in case of long-term use.
