Abstract

PURPOSE: A protection switching method of a communication channel when a link error is recovered in V5.2 interface is provided for quickly reopening a service by implementing a protection switching operation in a link which is first recovered. CONSTITUTION: In a normal state, the routine is in the standby mode until a link including an active c-channel and a link including a standby C-channel are removed when an error occurs in both links when the V5.2 service is being provided. In this state, when the link including the standby C-channel is recovered(d), the protection switching is performed(e) to the link including the standby C-channel for thereby transmitting a message. In order to normally perform the protection switching operation, the data link with respect to the protection protocol must be previously set.
