Abstract

PURPOSE: A leakage detecting apparatus for electrical energy distribution line is provided to achieve an improved detection performance by simplifying installation of a zero phase sequence current transformer(ZCT) and minimizing wrong operation of leakage alarm. CONSTITUTION: A leakage detecting apparatus is characterized in that an iron core through which an electrical energy distribution line passes is formed in a semicircular shape so as to be coupled to form a ring. The iron core is coated with an insulating material(20) made of a synthetic resin except a contact portion thereof. The contact portion exposed from the insulating material is shaped as a convex-concave so that the contact portion is engaged with a contact portion of the other semicircular iron core. Flanges(22) having coupling holes are arranged at an upper portion and a lower portion of the area coated with the insulating material(20), and coupled by at least one bolt(23). The insulating material(20) has at a side thereof an extended portion(21) to which an operating input switching unit for amplifying the current flowing from the iron core is connected. A display for alarming of current leakage when the current leakage is detected via a bias circuit and a power unit for contacting a relay are connected to the extended portion(21).
