Abstract

PURPOSE: A computer sound card with interface function of a telephone is provided to apply to an internet phone. CONSTITUTION: A DTMF(Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) receiver recognizes a button pressed on the phone. An interface circuit 240 receives speaker signal, sends an input signal from sender to a mike and recognizes whether the phone is taken or not when an external signal is connected with the interface circuit 240. A relay circuit 260 perceives a signal from a phone line, perceives whether external phone is taken or not when the external phone is connected with the phone line, and sends the perception to a controller. If a relay 210 is connected, a phone user and several people around a speaker can hear a sound in the side of the internet, and if relay 220 is connected, one in the side of the internet can hear a sound of phone user and people around a mike. When phone line is called, the relay circuit 260 senses this signal and sends it to controller. The controller plays a role the same with sound card controller and phone interface part. Since the controller is connected with PC slots, control signal and data can exchange.
