Abstract

PURPOSE: An optimized billing system implementation method is provided to notify a mobile phone subscriber of an optimal billing system in real time based on a call pattern so that it can reduce the billing charge and induce new mobile phone subscription. CONSTITUTION: The optimized billing system implementation method comprises steps of receiving a billing count request in a charging center(CC) after a mobile communication service for a set time(200), counting the billing charge by using a stored call record based on not only the billing system, originally chosen by the subscriber, but other billing systems, offered by a mobile network service provider(201), transmitting the billing information(202), checking if the subscriber changes the billing systems(203), stopping the process in case that the subscriber does not want to change the systems and otherwise selecting the process method, using an intelligent network or a WAP, changed by the subscriber(204). If the intelligent network process method is selected, the new billing system in a service control point is updated(206), and notified to the subscriber(207). Otherwise, the new billing system request is transmitted via internet(208), updated in the service control point(209) and notified to the subscriber(210).

SCP 는 MSC/SSP 에서 요구된 지능망 서비스에 대한 서비스 처리 로직을 가지고 있으며 실제 지능망 서비스를 수행해 주는 절차를 수행해주는 장치이다. HLR 은 이동단말 및 가입자의 영구적인 정보 및 위치정보 등을 저장하며 호처리 및 부가서비스와 관련된 각종 기능을 수행하는 장치이다. CC 는 가입자의 과금 정보 등을 처리하는 장치에 해당한다.
