Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for providing real-time traffic information using a mobile telephone is provided to obtain desired traffic information without data of a CD-ROM by using a traffic information transceiver and an electronic map clipping technique. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing real-time traffic information using a mobile telephone comprises an information storage method for storing a local information data within a navigation system equipped in an existing vehicle, to a server computer of a main center. A driver is connected with the server computer of the main center by using PCS data communication modem.
