Claims (15)
- 복수의 화소를 포함하고, 복수의 영역으로 구분되는 표시 패널,
감마 제어 신호에 따라 복수의 기준 감마 전압을 생성하고, 상기 복수의 기준 감마 전압을 이용하여 생성되는 데이터 신호를 상기 복수의 화소 중 대응하는 화소로 인가하는 데이터 구동 IC를 포함하는 데이터 구동부,
상기 복수의 영역 각각의 복수의 감마 곡선에 대응하는 복수의 감마 전압 데이터를 저장하는 메모리, 그리고
입력되는 영상 신호를 이용하여, 상기 복수의 영역에 구분되어 표시되는 복수의 영상의 특성들을 판단하고, 상기 특성들에 따라 상기 복수의 영역에 대응하는 감마 곡선들을 선택하며, 상기 메모리로부터 상기 선택된 감마 곡선에 대응하는 감마 전압 데이터들을 독출하여 상기 감마 제어 신호를 생성하는 신호 제어부
를 포함하고,
상기 신호 제어부는 상기 복수의 영역 중 인접한 영역들에 서로 상이한 감마 곡선이 선택되면, 상기 인접한 영역들의 경계 영역에 포함되는 화소들의 계조 값을 보정하고, 상기 경계 영역은 인접한 영역들 각각에 위치한 제1 경계 영역 및 제2 경계 영역을 포함하고,
상기 신호 제어부는 상기 제1 경계 영역에 포함된 화소들의 계조 값과 상기 제2 경계 영역에 포함된 화소들의 계조 값에 의한 휘도 차이에 따라 상기 제1 경계 영역 및 상기 제2 경계 영역에 포함된 화소들의 계조 값을 보정하는,
