Description
The present application relates to an electronic device and a driving method thereof.
In general, an electronic device such as a television, a monitor, a notebook computer, a smart phone, a tablet computer, an electronic pad, a wearable device, a watch phone, a portable information device, a navigation device, or a vehicle control display device is a display device for displaying an image and an image and a sound device for outputting a sound related to the .
Recently, as a user interface environment such as a force touch or an application requiring 3D touch information is built, a touch screen device capable of sensing a touch force and an electronic device to which the same is applied are being developed and researched.
However, in the conventional electronic device, since the sound generated by the sound device is output in the rear or side direction of the main body (or housing) rather than the front of the display panel, it proceeds toward the viewer (or user) watching the image from the front of the display panel. There is a problem that prevents the immersion of viewers watching the video because it does not do it. In addition, there is a problem in that the conventional electronic device needs to have a separate force touch sensor for force touch sensing.
An object of the present application is to provide an electronic device capable of outputting a sound through vibration of a display panel and sensing a force touch applied to the display panel without a separate sound device, and a driving method thereof.
An electronic device according to the present application for achieving the above technical problem is a display module for displaying an image; a vibration generating module coupled to the rear surface of the display module and configured to vibrate the display module in response to a vibration driving signal; and a driving circuit unit configured to provide a vibration driving signal to the vibration generating module and receive a force sensing signal generated from the vibration generating module according to bending of the display module to sense a force touch.
A method of driving an electronic device according to the present application includes the steps of supplying a vibration driving signal to a vibration generating module disposed on the rear surface of the display module to vibrate the display module according to the vibration of the vibration generating module to output sound, and bending of the display module The method may include sensing the force touch by receiving a force sensing signal generated from the vibration generating module according to the method.
According to the present application, the display module vibrates according to the vibration of the vibration generating module disposed on the rear side of the display module and outputs the sound to the front of the display panel, so that accurate sound can be output without a separate sound device or speaker. It can increase immersion.
According to the present application, the user's force touch can be sensed without a separate force touch sensor by sensing the user's force touch using an electrical signal generated from the vibration generating module according to the bending of the display module by the user's force touch.
