Description

FIRE-EXTINGUISHING GENERATOR THERMAL ACTUATOR

FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to fire extinguishing systems, and more particularly to fire extinguishers that can be used in an automatic mode. It is used for autonomous starting of gas, powder and aerosol fire extinguisher generators.

There is an actuator of an extinguishing generator that includes a case that accommodates a valve with a spring and a rod. The case is mounted on a tank neck and accommodates a plunger with a cylinder and a striker provided with a spring. A striker with a mechanism is a grip shape that interacts with the ligature ledge and plug using a hitch. In other types, the striker with the mechanism is a catch on the ledge [Russian Federation Patent No. 20183320 C1, Classification A62C13 / 12, published on August 30, 1994]

A disadvantage of this mechanism is the complexity of the design, which can lead to mechanism failure.

The thermal actuator of the extinguishing generator includes a cylindrical case, a cover having a central opening, a spring and a fixed striker inside the case. The holder is installed in the case wall opening and interacts with the striker groove laid down. A plug is provided between the spring and the case cover, has a base on the cover side, and interacts with a washable washable material that blocks the central opening. The case is surrounded by a shell that is tightly connected to the plug using a pin that passes through the longitudinal notch of the case wall. The inner side of the shell has a ball-shaped holder groove [Russian Patent No. 2046612 C1, Classification A62C35 / 02, published October 27, 1995]

A disadvantage of this mechanism is the low reliability due to the ball shape holder which can cause failure when the mechanism is started.

The closest to the provided mechanism is the thermal actuator of the extinguishing generator, which includes a striker inside the case wrapped with a spring to load the striker towards the primer, a holder to block the striker from movement when not in operation, Includes triggers on additional cases [Russian Federation Patent No. 2491972 C2, Classification A62C5 / 00, published on August 10, 2013]

The disadvantage of this nearest analog is the presence of two springs, one of which is always in a contracted state and a complicated holder mechanism that lowers start-up reliability.

It is an object of the present invention to improve the performance of the extinguishing generator.

The technical result of the present invention is to enhance the reliability of the extinguishing generator start-up.

The technical result is that of a fire extinguisher that includes a case to receive a striker wrapped with a spring to load the striker toward the primer, a holder to block the striker from movement in the idle state, and a trigger to be attached to the additional case to detach the holder from the idle state According to this design, the holder is provided with a shielding plug which is located inside the case and which contacts the striker and which extends partly inwardly with respect to each other and which is in direct contact with the junction of the case and the additional case in an idle state Wherein the stop plug has a blade of resilient material that is inserted in a gap between the case and the detent in an idle state and is removed as the trigger is actuated, The spring It is provided on the inside.

To ensure movement, in the idle state, the detent may be placed in a 1.5 to 2.5 mm gap from the additional case.

The blocking plug can be cylindrical and has 4 to 8 blades, a thickness of 0.6 to 0.8 mm and a width of 1.5 to 3.0 mm.

The blades can be arranged circumferentially at 45 to 90 degrees with respect to each other and the gap between the case and the detent can be inclined at 25 to 30 degrees with respect to the striker axis.

The blocking plug can be made in a complete design with the striker.

The trigger can be in the form of a glass ampoule that contains a liquid that expands when heated and destroys the ampoule as it reaches a certain temperature.

The trigger may be made of, for example, a wood alloy or metal having a shape memory effect such as Nitinol.

The trigger head may be in the form of a sharp needle.

The primer may be of the impression type.

In the accompanying drawings, an overall cross-sectional view of a thermal actuator of the proposed extinguishing generator is shown.

The thermal actuator of the extinguishing generator includes the striker 2 (see the figure) installed in the case 1, which is wrapped by the spring 3 that loads the striker 2 toward the primer 4. The trigger (6) is installed in the additional case (5).

The holder includes a blocking plug (7) located inside the case (1) and contacting the striker (2), and a blocking plug (7) partially extending inwardly from each other and being rotatably connected to the junction of the case (1) And a detent (8) for contacting the trigger (6) which is mounted as far as possible.

The blocking plug 7 has an elastic material edge 9 which is inserted into the gap 10 between the case 1 and the detent 8 in the idle state and the trigger 6 is activated Is removed.

The idle detent (8) is placed in a gap (11) of 1.5 to 2.5 mm from the additional case (5).

The blocking plug 7 is cylindrical and has four to eight blades 9, a thickness of 0.6 to 0.8 mm and a width of 1.5 to 3.0 mm. The blades 9 are arranged circumferentially at 45 to 90 degrees with respect to each other. The gap 10 of the blade 9 between the case 1 and the detent 8 is inclined by 25 to 30 degrees with respect to the striker 2 axis.

The blocking plug 7 can be made in a complete design with the striker 2.

The trigger 6 may be a glass ampoule (shown in the attached drawing) containing a liquid that breaks the ampoule as it warms up and reaches a certain temperature, or a wood alloy having a shape memory effect such as, for example, It can be in the form of metal.

The trigger (6) head (12) may be in the form of a sharp needle. The primer 4 is of an impression type.

The mechanism has a split pin (13) with a ring (14), which prevents the striker (2) from moving abruptly during assembly and transport.

The thermal actuator of the extinguishing generator operates as described below.

The thermal actuator is installed in the extinguishing generator case of the protection facility, and the split pin 13 is removed.

At the time of fire and set temperature achievement, for example 37 C, the trigger 6 is destroyed. The permanently retracted spring 3 is partially released and moves the detent along the gap 11 by 1.5 to 2.5 mm until it is positioned against the additional case 5. At the same time, the blade 9 of the blocking plug 7 is removed from the gap 10 and, due to its elastic material, is free to bend towards the mechanism axis. The result is the release of the striker (2). The retracted spring 3 is loaded in the striker 2. The head 12 of the striker 2 strikes the primer 4 and the chemically active agent 15 is activated. The high-pressure gas is ejected and the fire extinguisher is started.

[Industrial applicability]

Accordingly, the accompanying drawings and the above given embodiments demonstrate the manufacturability of the thermal actuator of the proposed extinguishing generator, which can be used for the starting of gases, powders and aerosol fire extinguishers.
