도 3은 도 1에 도시된 피동 안전장치가 열팽창으로 인하여 노심으로 약간 하강한 상태를 나타낸 도면이다.

Claims (5)
- 복수의 핵연료봉을 구비한 핵연료봉집합체와 복수의 제어봉을 구비한 제어봉집합체를 포함하는 노심과, 상기 노심을 둘러싼 원자로 용기 및 피동 안전장치를 포함하는 원자로에 있어서,
상기 피동 안전장치는,
상기 핵연료봉 및 제어봉 중 적어도 하나를 대체하며,
일단은 상기 노심의 상부의 원자로 용기에 고정되고, 자유단은 대체되는 핵연료봉 또는 제어봉이 제거된 공간을 향해서 연장되며, 적어도 일부가 상기 노심을 냉각하는 냉각재에 담겨 냉각재의 온도 상승에 따라서 길이가 증가하는 고정봉과,
상기 고정봉의 자유단에 결합하며 그 내부에 중성자 흡수체가 내장된 흡수체 봉을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 피동 안전장치를 구비한 원자로. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 냉각재의 온도가 정상인 상태에서 상기 흡수체 봉의 일부가 상기 노심의 활성노심 영역에 삽입되어 있고, 상기 냉각재의 온도가 상승하면, 상기 고정봉이 열 팽창하여 상기 흡수체 봉이 상기 노심의 활성노심 영역안으로 더 삽입되도록, 상기 고정봉의 길이가 설계된 것을 특징으로 하는 피동 안전장치를 구비한 원자로. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 중성자 흡수체는 보론(B)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 피동 안전장치를 구비한 원자로. - 삭제
