BACKGROUND OF THE
Robot welders are widely used for welding between steel plates in an automobile body welding line or for spot welding between steel plates and structural members. Robot welder is an essential equipment because it can perform various motions according to program and can work quickly. The tip of the welding gun of the robot welder is fitted with a tip. The tip is a consumable product that needs to be replaced periodically because it is worn according to usage because it is a discharge area. For reference, cooling water is supplied to cool the tip inside the welding gun.
The fingers of the tip and weld gun are press-fit to allow easy replacement. That is, in the conventional welding gun, tapers are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the finger of the welding gun and the inner peripheral surface of the tip hole. Therefore, when the tips of the welding gun are inserted into the fingers, they are tightly coupled, and when the tip is rotated a little, they are easily separated.
Since the replacement work of the tip is not so difficult, conventionally, it has been dependent on the manual operation of the operator. However, since the position where the welding gun is installed is often cramped, it is difficult to replace it by hand, and the tip replacement work is usually performed during the break time set during normal work hours for continuity of the work, .
The conventional tip exchanging device has a complicated configuration and requires a large installation cost, and thus it is not widely used.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a tip replacement apparatus for a welding gun which can mechanically exchange a consumable tip provided at the end of a welding gun in a robot welding machine for performing spot welding. More specifically, it is easy to install in a narrow place due to its simple structure, low installation and maintenance costs, small size, and flexibility that corresponds to the movement of the robot, And to provide a gun tip exchange apparatus.
