Description

A lamp apparatus for vehicles}[0001] The present invention relates to a lamp apparatus for vehicles,

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a lamp unit for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a lamp unit for a vehicle for realizing a uniform image on a lens.

Generally, a lamp is a device that generates power by receiving power from a battery or the like, and a vehicular lamp device installed in a vehicle irradiates light forward to secure a driver's view. Halogen lamps or gas discharge lamps are mainly used as light sources for automotive lamp units. In recent years, however, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) having excellent brightness have been widely used as light sources while consuming less power.

In addition, in the case of LEDs, the size is minimized to increase the degree of design freedom of the lamp, and it is also economical due to the semi-permanent lifetime.

Lamps using such LEDs as light sources are generally used in two ways.

First, there are an orthodontic illumination system in which the LED is applied in the same direction as the optical axis direction and the optical axis direction in the reflection plane, and an indirect illumination system in which the LED is arranged at 90 degrees on the optical axis of the reflection plane.

In the case of the direct lighting method, the HOT zone occurs in the center part due to the LED brightness. Further, the periphery of the LED is relatively dark, and the lens emission area is the same as the opening area of the reflection surface, thereby increasing the number of LEDs.

In addition, the indirect illumination method arranges the LEDs in the direction of 90 degrees with the optical axis of the reflection surface, so that the image for the HOT zone of the LED decreases. However, there is a problem that the indirect light method also increases the LED quantity due to the opening area of the reflecting surface.

A problem to be solved by the present invention is to form an intermediate portion of a reflective surface in a convex shape to realize a uniform image on the lens.

The details of other embodiments are included in the detailed description and drawings.

According to the lamp unit for a vehicle of the present invention, one or more of the following effects can be obtained.

First, there is an advantage that a uniform image can be realized in the lens by reducing the HOT ZONE image due to the high light intensity in the center of the light source.

Secondly, in the case of a light source generating a certain luminous intensity, it is possible to eliminate components for fixing the position, thereby reducing weight.

Third, by implementing upper and lower images as a single light source, it is possible to reduce the number of used light sources, thereby reducing costs.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings for explaining a lamp unit 100 for a vehicle according to embodiments of the present invention.

1 is a view showing a part of a vehicle equipped with a lamp unit for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 1, a vehicle lamp apparatus 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention is mounted in front of a vehicle. Therefore, the front of the vehicle is illuminated at night so that the driver can safely drive the vehicle. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, it may be mounted on the rear of the vehicle to serve as a tail lamp.

The vehicular lamp device 100 includes a lens 110, a bezel 120, a light source 130, and a reflecting surface 140. Details will be described later with reference to Fig.

The lens 110 is formed in a circular shape and transmits light irradiated from the light source unit 130. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, the lens 110 may be formed in an elliptical shape, a square shape, a triangular shape, or the like.

The bezel 120 is disposed at the center of the lens 110 and is formed in a circular shape. In addition, since the bezel 120 does not transmit light, the light transmitted through the lens 110 forms a donut shape. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, the bezel 120 may be formed in an elliptical shape or the like.

The width of the bezel 120 is preferably adjusted in consideration of the performance of an LED element 132 to be described later. Therefore, if the performance of the LED element 132 deteriorates, it is preferable to reduce the width of the bezel 120.

Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken along the line A-A in Fig.

Referring to FIG. 2, the vehicular lamp system 100 includes a lens 110, a bezel 120, a light source 130, and a reflecting surface 140.

The lens 110 transmits the light reflected through the reflecting surface 140. Accordingly, the shape of the transmitted light differs depending on the shape of the lens 110.

The bezel 120 is coupled to the rear surface of the lens 110 and disposed at the center of the lens 110. In addition, the light source unit 130 is coupled to the rear of the bezel 120.

Since the bezel 120 has a circular shape and does not transmit light, the light transmitted through the lens 110 forms a donut shape in this embodiment.

The size of the bezel 120 is formed to be the same as the curved surface portion 142 of the reflecting surface 140 to be described later. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, the size of the bezel 120 may be changed according to the performance of the light source 130.

The light source unit 130 is coupled to the rear of the bezel 120 and irradiates light backward. The light source unit 130 includes an LED (light emitting diode) element 132 for generating light and a printed circuit board 131.

The printed circuit board 131 is coupled to the back of the jig and the light source unit 130 is mounted on the printed circuit board 131. Since the printed circuit board 131 is arranged in the vertical direction, the light emitted from the LED device 132 is irradiated in the horizontal direction. The LED element 132 is disposed at the center of the printed circuit board 131.

The light source unit 130 is disposed in parallel with the curved surface portion 142 of the reflection surface 140 to be described later. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, the light source 130 may be inclined with respect to the curved surface 142, which will be described later.

The light source 130 is coupled to the bezel 120 and is disposed at a central portion of the lens 110. Therefore, the light source unit 130 can be minimized by the curved surface portion 142 and the inclined portion 141 of the reflection surface 140, which will be described later, to realize an image.

The reflecting surface 140 is disposed behind the light source unit 130 and reflects the light emitted from the light source unit 130 forward. Therefore, the present invention is classified into an indirect lighting method.

The reflective surface 140 includes an inclined portion 141 having a surface corresponding to the lens 110 and a curved surface portion 142 having a curved surface that is convex on the surface corresponding to the bezel 120 .

The inclined surface condenses light with the lens 110 corresponding to the inclined surface, and the curved surface portion 142 diffuses the light irradiated from the light source unit 130. [ Thus, a uniform image is realized on the lens 110. [

The operation of the vehicular lamp apparatus 100 according to the present invention will now be described.

First, when the vehicle is started or electricity is applied to the lamp unit 100, the light source unit 130 to which electricity is applied irradiates light to the reflective surface 140 disposed at the rear.

The light reaches the inclined portion 141 of the reflecting surface 140 and the curved surface portion 142. The inclined portion 141 condenses the light into a portion of the lens 110 corresponding to the inclined portion 141 and the curved portion 142 diffuses the light into the lens 110.

The condensed and diffused light passes through the lens 110 and diffuses toward the front of the lamp unit 100. However, since the light can not pass through the bezel 120, the transmitted light forms a donut shape.

Further, the curved surface portion 142 diffuses light, which increases the amount of light transmitting through the lens 110.
