3T3-L1 지방전구세포에 본 발명의 조성물을 처리한 결과 트리글리세리드 함량은 도 3과 같이 분화된 지방세포(O+ 샘플)와 비교했을 때, 모든 조성물에서 트리글리세리드 형성을 효과적으로 억제하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 에틸아세테이트로 분획한 우엉 추출물을 포함하는 본 발명의 조성물 10ug/ml의 농도를 처리하였을 때, 트리글리세리드 생성을 약 46% 저해하는 것으로 나타냈다. 이는 분화를 유도하지 않은 대조군(O- 샘플)과 유사한 트리글리세리드 함량을 보여, 매우 우수한 트리글리세리드 생성 억제 효과를 보였다.

상기 결과와 같이 우엉 추출물을 다시 분획한 우엉 분획물의 경우 각 분획물 별로 체중 감량 효과에 차이는 있었으나, 전체적으로 모두 체중 감량 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 체중 감량 효과를 위하여 에틸아세테이트로 분획하여 본 발명의 조성물에 사용하는 것도 바람직하지만, 경제성을 감안하여 분획 없이 단순 추출물 또는 상기 추출물의 분말을 그대로 사용하는 것도 가능함을 실험예 3을 통하여 확인할 수 있었다.
