Description
The present invention relates to the construction field, and more particularly, to a repair method for asphalt pavement.
In the present invention, the low-traffic asphalt pavement means an asphalt road pavement formed with a small thickness (10 cm or less) due to low traffic volume, such as an apartment parking lot, a road in a complex, and a backside road.
(A) is sectional drawing of general road pavement, (b) is sectional drawing of low traffic road pavement.
As shown, the low-traffic road pavement has a traffic volume of less than 1000 vehicles per day, so the load due to the driving of the vehicle is not large. Thus, it is common to form a package with a thin thickness of 10 cm or less because hardly damage occurs due to structural factors. to be.
As such, low-traffic road pavement has almost no damage due to structural factors, but most of the damage due to aging of the asphalt pavement is mainly occupied.
Specifically, the aging of the asphalt pavement refers to a solidification phenomenon caused by volatilization of a material that gives ductility to the asphalt pavement, which gradually progresses from the surface of the pavement to the center due to the occurrence of microcracks. It is intensified by shrinkage and expansion caused by temperature change.
In addition, since the low-traffic road pavement is formed to have a thin thickness (10 cm or less) as described above, cracking occurs more easily than general road pavement, thereby further aging the asphalt pavement.
In the past, there was nothing specially developed as a maintenance method or maintenance method for such a low-traffic road pavement. Therefore, when road pavement reaches its limit life, the pavement is removed and a new pavement is formed (cutting overlay). come.
그런데 이러한 방법은 대단히 많은 예산을 필요로 하고, 오랜 공사기간으로 인한 불편함을 초래하므로, 파손이 발생한 상태 그대로 장기간 사용하는 것이 일반적인바 문제로 지적되어 왔다(도 2,3).However, since this method requires a very large budget and causes inconvenience due to a long construction period, it has been pointed out that it is a general problem to use it for a long time as it has been damaged (Figs. 2 and 3).
The present invention is derived to solve the above problems, to prevent the damage of the road pavement to extend the life, to effectively repair the damaged portion, low traffic asphalt to reduce the cost and time required for repair It aims to show repair method of package.

As shown in Figure 4 below, the repair method of the low-traffic asphalt pavement according to the present invention, basically, a modified asphalt emulsion manufacturing step of producing a modified
Asphalt emulsion is originally used for the production of asphalt concrete (ascon) by mixing with aggregate, and is made by mixing asphalt binder and emulsified water.
The present invention is characterized in that the modified asphalt emulsion is prepared by incorporating the (modified) additive into the asphalt emulsion, and applying the modified asphalt emulsion to the surface of the low-
This gives new ductility, fills microcracks and re-adheses exposed aggregates to the asphalt pavement that is undergoing aging (solidification), thus prolonging its life by preventing road pavement and minor breakages. Wealth can be easily and effectively repaired, and the cost and time required for repair can be reduced.
The above-described modified asphalt emulsion reaches the microcracks generated inside the asphalt pavement to stably obtain the above-described effects, and in general, since the depth of the microcracks is about 3 mm, the low traffic volume of the modified
The penetration performance of the asphalt emulsion is evaluated by the angler viscosity. Table 1 shows the results of experiments on the depth of penetration according to the angler viscosity of the asphalt emulsion.
As shown in Table 1, it was found that the penetration depth was 3 mm or more in the range of the angler viscosity of the modified asphalt emulsion of 1.5 to 3.0, the modified asphalt emulsion having the angler viscosity of the above range in the repair method according to the present invention The conclusion is that it is desirable to apply.
For reference, the angler viscosity of the conventional asphalt emulsion used for asphalt concrete is in the range of 3.0 to 4.0.
On the other hand, after the maintenance work, the curing time of the modified asphalt emulsion should be reduced for early transportation opening (usually based on 60 minutes) .The surface of the asphalt pavement in common has a weak alkali, so the acidity of the modified asphalt emulsion ( The curing time can be controlled by adjusting the pH).
Table 2 shows the results of the change of curing time according to the acidity of the modified asphalt emulsion.
As shown in Table 2, the curing time was found to be within 60 minutes in the acidity of the modified asphalt emulsion in the range of 1.5 ~ 2.5, applying a modified asphalt emulsion having an acidity of the above range to the repair method according to the present invention The conclusion is that it is desirable.
For reference, the acidity of the conventional asphalt emulsion used in asphalt concrete is in the range of 4.0 to 5.0.
In addition, the particle size of the asphalt binder also affects the curing time of the modified asphalt emulsion.
Table 3 shows the results of experiments on the change in curing time according to the particle size of the asphalt binder in the modified asphalt emulsion.
As shown in Table 3, the curing time was found to be 60 to 90 minutes in the particle size of the modified asphalt emulsion in the range of 4 ~ 6㎛, in order to minimize the curing time of the modified asphalt emulsion according to the present invention It is preferable to apply to.
For reference, the particle size of the conventional asphalt emulsion used in asphalt concrete is in the range of 8 ~ 12㎛.
Hereinafter, specific examples of the modified
The modified asphalt emulsion comprises an asphalt binder, emulsified water, and additives as described above.
As the asphalt binder, it is preferable to use general straight asphalt as BASE, and to use primary modified by C9 petroleum resin, low molecular weight polymer, or the like.
It has physical properties of penetration of 15 to 30 and softening point of 70 to 80 ° C.
The above low molecular weight polymer is preferably used by petroleum wax, Pixtrodropswax, ethylene-bis-stearic wax, or a mixture of two or more of them.
Emulsified water can be added to the emulsifier (0.1 ~ 0.5 parts by weight) for the rapid diamine-based rapid set and polyphosphoric acid (the role of anti-peel, pH adjuster, propellant), etc. What is necessary is just to use the thing formed by the combination of rubber latex and modified acrylic latex.
Table 4 shows the results of experimenting with the physical properties of the above-described materials.
On the other hand, in the case where only microcracks exist in the asphalt pavement, it is sufficient to apply the modified asphalt emulsion to the surface as described above. However, in the case where a port hole, a crack, or the like occurs, additional measures are required.
When the port
In the case of the method according to the present invention, the
The
Table 5 shows the case where only the room temperature repair material is filled in the port hole breakage portion of the package, when the ordinary asphalt emulsion is applied after the room temperature repair material is filled, and the modified
As shown in Table 5, when the embodiment of the present invention is applied, the best adhesion strength was obtained.
Even when a
Table 6 shows a case where only the sealing material is applied to the crack breakage portion of the package, when the general asphalt emulsion is applied after the sealing material is filled, and the permeation amount when the modified
The experiment was based on the field permeation test method (KS F 2394) of permeable packaging.
As shown in Table 6, when the embodiment of the present invention is applied, the smallest permeation amount (140 ml) was found, but the basic permeability (minimum quantity possessed by the equipment itself) of the tester used in the above test method was 140 ml. In fact, when the embodiment of the present invention was applied, the permeability was found to be zero.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
