Abstract
A method of manufacturing an organic light emitting diode display according to the present invention includes forming a lower electrode on a substrate, and subliming an organic material source by using a Closed Spaced Deposition (CDS) method to form an organic layer on the lower electrode. Forming an upper electrode on the organic material layer.
Therefore, according to embodiments of the present invention, the time for the raw material source to be sublimated and deposited on the substrate can be shortened as compared with the related art. In addition, since the liquid raw material source is used, there is an advantage that the consumption of the raw material is less than when using a powder raw material as in the prior art. In addition, since the raw material source is heated using a lamp heater, the deposition process may be performed at a lower temperature than in the prior art, and a thin film having excellent film quality may be deposited in a low vacuum atmosphere.
Description
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an organic light emitting display device which can shorten the deposition process time and reduce the consumption of raw materials.
The organic light emitting display device has a wide viewing angle and a fast response speed, thereby enabling high quality display. The organic light emitting display device is formed by stacking a substrate, a lower electrode, an organic material layer, and an upper electrode, and the organic material layer includes a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, a light emitting layer, and an electron transport layer.
On the other hand, the organic material layer of the organic light emitting display device is generally formed by a thermal evaporation method (thermal evaporation) by heating the organic material raw material in a powder state, and sublimates it. The thermal evaporation method is a deposition method in which a current flows through a crucible into which an organic material is loaded, and the organic material is sublimated using the generated resistance heat. In such a thermal evaporation method, since the organic material of the powder state is deposited by sublimation as described above, the consumption of the material is large and the deposition time is long. In addition, since the inside of the process chamber in which the deposition process is performed must be maintained at a high vacuum, for example, 10 −6 torr, it takes a long time to create a high vacuum state.
Another method for forming the organic layer is an ink-jet printing technique for spraying the organic raw material in a solution state on the substrate. Ink-jet printing method has the advantage of reducing the consumption of the raw material, but has a disadvantage that it is difficult to control the injection amount of the raw material, the injection speed and the thickness of the thin film. In addition, the clogging phenomenon of the nozzle for injecting the raw material is frequently generated, there is a problem that it is not easy to form a fine pattern.
An object of the present invention is to provide a method of manufacturing an organic light emitting display device which can shorten the deposition process time.

The source source includes Alq 3 , and the electron source layer (ETL) is deposited by sublimating the source source using the Closed Spaced Deposition (CDS) method.
As described above, in the embodiments of the present invention, the organic light emitting display device is manufactured by depositing a raw material source by a Closed Spaced Deposition (CDS) method. The

On the other hand, as described above, the substrate processing apparatus according to the embodiment performs the deposition process by the proximity distance deposition method. Referring to FIG. 3, first, a substrate S is prepared, and a

In the organic light emitting diode display according to Comparative Examples and Examples, the substrate S, the
7 and 8, the efficiency of each of the organic light emitting diode display according to the comparative example and the embodiment is similar to 2.0 cd / A. However, as described above, the deposition time by the proximity distance deposition method is faster than the thermal deposition method. That is, in forming the
