누름부(180)를 압압하는 경우(도 7의 화살표 ① 방향) 체결부(170)가 상대방 커넥터(1100)의 대응 체결부(1170)와의 체결을 해제하는 방향(도 7의 화살표 ② 방향)으로 변위되며, 누름부(180)를 압압하지 않는 경우 상대방 커넥터(1100)와 결합을 유지할 수 있도록 탄성적으로 작동된다. 본 실시예의 커넥터(100)을 상대방 커넥터(1100)와 결합시 지지부(150)을 이루는 돌출단을 지지부 대응부(1150)에 삽입하는 것을 시작으로 플랫 케이블의 단자부가 상대방 커넥터의 콘택트에 접촉되는 최종위치까지 삽입하는 과정에서, 체결부(170)는 상대방 커넥터의 외면에 접촉하여 도 7의 화살표 ② 방향으로 변위되면서 결합되므로 별도의 조작 없이 신속하게 양 커넥터를 결합시킬 수 있다. 또한 누름부(180)를 도 7의 화살표 ① 방향으로 최대한 압압하더라도 누름부(180)가 몸체부(101)에 맞닿게 되어 과대 변위에 따른 이상상태의 응력이 발생하는 것이 방지된다. 연결부(190)는 체결부(170)와 누름부(180) 사이에 위치하고 있으므로 연결부(190)에 과도한 힘이 작용하는 것을 방지할 수 있게 된다.

플랫 케이블을 삽입고정시켜 플랫 케이블의 단자부를 상대방 커넥터의 콘택트에 접촉시키기 위한 플랫 케이블용 커넥터에 있어서,
몸체부와;
몸체부 후방에 형성되며 플랫 케이블을 삽입하는 삽입구와,
상기 삽입구로 삽입된 플랫 케이블의 삽입 깊이를 한정하는 정지부와,
상기 삽입구와 정지부 사이를 상기 몸체부를 전후방으로 관통하여 형성된 삽입부와,
상기 정지부의 후방에서 상대방 커넥터의 콘택트와 대향되는 위치로 플랫 케이블의 단자부를 노출시키기 위해 개방된 노출부와,
상기 정지부까지 삽입된 플랫 케이블 선단의 들뜸을 제한하는 지지부와,
삽입구로부터 삽입되는 플랫 케이블에 의해 상하방향으로 탄성변형되며, 상기 플랫 케이블의 오목홈 또는 볼록부와 결합되어 플랫 케이블이 삽입부 후방으로 후퇴하지 않도록 고정하는 고정부와,
상대방 커넥터의 대응 체결부와 체결되기 위한 체결부와,
상대방 커넥터의 대응 체결부와의 체결을 해제하기 위한 누름부와,
체결부와 누름부 사이에 위치하며 몸체부와 연결을 이루는 연결부로 이루어지며;

상기 몸체부, 삽입구, 정지부, 삽입부, 노출부, 지지부, 고정부, 체결부, 누름부, 연결부가 합성수지제로 사출되어 일체로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 플랫 케이블용 커넥터.
