도 4에서와 같이 나무의 원기둥 및 몇몇 주요 가지에 피복 부직포(4)를 감아서 동이게 되면 피복 부직포(4) 특성상 다소의 신축성이 있어서 동여 매기가 수월하고 새끼로 동여 맬 때처럼 단단히 잡고 감지 않아도 되며 감아 놓은 상태가 그대로 형태유지도 잘 된다. 피복 부직포(4)는 원기둥에만 감을 수 있지만, 밴드폭이 10cm 내외이므로 원기둥뿐만 아니라 가지들에 감아주기도 수월하며 원기둥 및 가지들에도 함께 감아주게 되면 보온 및 해동이 그만큼 빨라지게 된다. 나무 동해방지용 피복 부직포에 있어서,
2~3데니어 폴리프로필렌 필라멘트사를 연신 후 웹을 형성하고 부분접합용인 조각롤러로 열융착시켜서 1.2~2.7mm두께와 110~130g/㎡ 기초중량의 폴리프로필렌 장섬유 스판본드 부직포를 얻고, 얻은 스판본드 부직포를 밴드형태로 재단하여 나무 동해방지용으로서 나무를 나선형으로 감싸 맬 수 있는 밴드폭 7~15cm로 형성된 흑색 피복부직포를 구성하되, 밴드형태의 흑색 스판본드 피복부직포를 구성하는 1.2~2.7mm두께 및 110~130g/㎡ 기초중량에 의한 필라멘사트사 내부 엉킴부가 공기층을 형성하고 상기 공기층 형성과 태양열 흡수에 의한 피복 나무의 보온성과 함께 내부 엉킴부에 머금어지는 수분에 대해서 나무 동해방지를 위한 통기성과 발수성을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 나무 동해방지용 피복 부직포.
