Abstract

This invention provides the continuous metal processing system which can gas-quench metal efficiently by connecting a heating furnace and a gas cooling furnace before and after centering isothermal holding chamber by gas. After the heating chamber, the preliminary cooling chamber is continuously placed, where the metal is cooled with gas near the isothermal holding target temperature and then transferred to the isothermal holding chamber. The diameter of the furnace of the preliminary cooling chamber is made large to increase the radiation amount. This reduces the cooling load of the isothermal holding chamber, thereby improving the overall cooling rate and facilitating control. The final temperature error of isothermal holding can be made into ± 3-5 degreeC. The cooling system of the circulation path of an isothermal holding chamber can be made into two systems which are branched or do not branch.

The present invention relates to a heating chamber, an isothermal holding chamber, a cooling chamber, and the like continuously connected to an isothermal holding chamber that maintains isothermal temperature by a gas that has been recently developed, and to a heated metal workpiece (hereinafter, referred to as a workpiece). ) Is isothermally maintained using an inert gas adjusted to a temperature just above the transformation point temperature of the metal and then quenched with a gas below room temperature. In particular, the metal can be quenched while isothermally maintaining the metal only with gas, and the efficiency is achieved by the continuous treatment.
As a method of quenching the metal, S curves (T, T, T curves), also referred to as isothermal heat treatment, in addition to the usual quenching of the workpieces preheated to the quenching initiation temperature to instantaneously cooled to room temperature and then tempering. Austempering, martempering, marquenching, etc., which are isothermally maintained at a predetermined intermediate temperature for a predetermined time and then quenched to room temperature are known. In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-129361 (method of heat treatment of steel or cast iron parts), the workpiece is heated to austenite temperature, then quenched to martensite starting point, and bainite It is disclosed that the dimensional stability of the part can be remarkably improved by isothermally maintaining using a salt bath until the partial transformation into a), followed by cooling to room temperature, and further tempering.
Conventionally, the heat processing by isothermal holding was performed using the salt bath. In this case, salt baths, such as low temperature of 150-550 degreeC, medium temperature of 570-950 degreeC, high temperature of 1000-1300 degreeC, can be used for hardening. As the salt bath material, KNO 2 , KNO 3 and a mixture of NaCl and LiCl or KCl, etc., are used for different temperatures.
Regardless of the method of use, the salt bath needs to be immersed in the salt bath, cooled or isothermally, and thus requires a means for immersing and lifting the work piece, thereby causing problems in workability or working environment. In addition, it is limited in processing. In the complex process of rapidly cooling to 200 ° C., rapidly raising the temperature to 250 ° C., isothermally maintaining the same temperature, and then cooling the temperature to room temperature, a plurality of salt baths are required, and a means for transferring the workpiece to the salt bath is required. Therefore, the size of the device increases, which causes the cost of the product. Additional operations such as salt removal and grinding after cooling are also added.
In recent years, due to the environmental damage caused by the use of such a salt bath, the cooling of the workpiece, especially when quenching, by using an inert gas such as N 2 gas (nitrogen gas) or Ar gas to avoid cooling in the salt bath Cooling and quenching are performed. For example, in the vacuum furnace disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 5-66090, in order to put a workpiece in the body of a pressure resistant furnace and heat it to around 100 ° C, and then cool it, the body of the furnace is, for example, 5 bar (= 500000 Pa). Inert gas is introduced and the gas is circulated by operation of a turbo-blower, so that the heat-treated product can be cooled to room temperature relatively rapidly at once. The vacuum furnace is provided with heating means such as a heater for gradually heating the workpiece provided therein, preheating the first, second preheating, quenching to a quenching temperature, and performing a series of heat treatments such as maintaining a high temperature at the preheating temperature. have. After a series of preheating treatments are performed on the workpiece, 5 bar (= 500000 Pa) of N 2 gas can be blown, cooled, and quenched. The furnace is also referred to as classification.
However, in the conventional gas quenching furnace, although the preheated workpiece can be quenched to room temperature and quenched to room temperature, the gas itself is cooled by using a water cooling pipe arranged directly in the circulation path. It is not possible to maintain isothermally at an intermediate temperature just above the metal transformation point temperature, and cannot perform heat treatment requiring isothermal holding such as ostempering, mating and marching.
There is an example in which an isothermal holding test is performed using the above sorting furnace. In Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2000-l29341 (low strain quenching method), at least one of the flow rate of the cooling gas and the quenching is temporarily reduced or the environment in which the cooled member is installed is temporarily heated and cooled, and isothermally Attempts have been made to control deformation due to martensite transformation. Further, in Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2005-60760 (quenching method by gas cooling), by lowering the cooling rate of the workpiece, it is near the martensite transformation start temperature and maintained at a temperature higher than the martensite transformation start temperature. Step is to be tested while maintaining isothermal.
However, in the less quenching method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 2000-129341 and 2005-60760, it is disclosed that the deformation is reduced by isothermal holding. However, the conventional separation furnace is used to control the isothermal holding temperature. It was difficult, and eventually there was a problem that can not be carried out. Therefore, if the gas flow rate is lowered and isothermally maintained, a drastic temperature difference (100 ° C. or more) may occur depending on the position of the workpiece, and only the cooling wind can be used to control it, which is already an uncontrollable area. The timing of isothermal holding cannot be maintained accurately, and at least very fine control is not possible.
MEANS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM In order to solve the said subject, the present inventors disclosed international publication WO03 / 08 0876 Al (a high temperature gas quenching apparatus and a high temperature gas heat treatment system), and developed the apparatus system which can be isothermally maintained by dry gas. As an example of this, an isothermal holding circulation path is provided, and the circulation path is branched into two first (high temperature) and second (low temperature) flow paths, and a low temperature flow path is provided with a cooler for normal temperature cooling that is also used in the flow path. And a basic hot gas quenching device for controlling the mixer output temperature provided at the end positions of the first and second flow paths to an intermediate temperature while controlling the opening degree of control windows provided in both flow paths. As another example, there is disclosed a crucible type hot gas quenching apparatus capable of accumulating a large amount of heat capacitive contact material in a circulation path and isothermally maintaining the contact material as a main body. According to these high temperature gas quenching apparatuses, by setting an arbitrary control target temperature and putting a heating workpiece into a furnace, it can cool to predetermined | prescribed intermediate temperature between 100-500 degreeC, and can be maintained isothermally completely. Then, the gas may be quenched to a temperature of room temperature or less than that of the furnace or other gas quenching chamber connected thereto.

The present invention is an improvement of the already disclosed hot gas quenching apparatus, and is continuously connected to a heating chamber, a preliminary cooling chamber or a cooling chamber before and after the isothermal holding chamber, thereby controlling the isothermal holding chamber, in particular, a circulation furnace provided in the isothermal holding chamber. It is an object of the present invention to provide a continuous metal heat treatment system capable of efficiently and continuously quenching with high precision while appropriately controlling the flow rate and temperature of an inert gas flowing through the gas.
The continuous metal processing system of the present invention which can solve the above problems is provided in an isothermal holding chamber for isothermally holding a heating workpiece and a front end of the isothermal holding chamber under a gas atmosphere adjusted to an intermediate temperature just above the metal transformation point temperature. And a pre-cooling chamber for preliminary cooling as far as possible to send the workpiece to the next stage isothermal holding chamber by injection of a heating chamber or gas for heating the workpiece to a quenching temperature, and isothermally maintained. And a gas cooling chamber for rapidly quenching the workpieces at a temperature below room temperature, wherein the chambers are continuously connected through an openable and open door, and the workpieces are continuously sent to the chambers. It is a continuous metal processing system, characterized in that independent heat treatment is performed in a yarn.
Referring to the basic structure of the isothermal holding chamber, the isothermal holding chamber is provided with a circulation path for circulating the gas sucked from a part of the chamber and outputting it back to the inside, wherein the circulation path is divided into two suction stages, The branch pipe is in that state, and a cooler using a room temperature refrigerant is disposed in the other branch pipe, a fan for gas circulation is disposed in front of or behind the joining point of both branch pipes, and each branch pipe is placed in one direction or both sides of both branch pipes. A valve is provided for controlling the flow rate of the flowing gas, and at least isothermally maintained, a controller for controlling the air flow rate of the fan and the opening degree of the valve such that the temperature after the joining point becomes a target temperature for the isothermal maintenance. Is installed.
In the continuous metal processing system having the above-described configuration, in the preliminary cooling chamber, the workpiece heated to around 1000 ° C can be cooled to around 500 ° C and then sent to the isothermal holding chamber, and the isothermal holding chamber is preferably kept isothermal with a relatively light load. It can improve the quality of isothermal holding. It is preferable to preliminarily cool the preliminary cooling chamber, for example, spraying low-temperature N 2 gas or circulating low-temperature high-pressure N 2 gas to spray. By forming the preliminary cooling chamber to a larger diameter than the other chambers, the amount of radiation of the radiant heat is increased and efficient and uniform cooling is possible with a small N 2 gas. Careful spraying of cold N 2 gas may cause overcooling. Subcooling here means that the surface temperature of a workpiece cools considerably below the target temperature of isothermal holding. Therefore, preliminary cooling must be performed in such a range that such subcooling does not occur.
The configuration of the isothermal holding chamber can be divided into two methods. One of them branches into two circulation paths, one of the circulation paths is cooled by a cooler such as a water cooling or air cooling device, and the amount of gas passing through each branch is controlled by the valve opening degree. The other is to cool the gas flowing through the conduit only by the required amount of heat, without branching the circuit. First, a method of branching two circulation paths will be described. The isothermal holding chamber is provided with a circulation path for circulating gas drawn from a part of the chamber and outputting it back to the interior, and the circulation path is divided into two, One branch pipe is left as it is, and another branch pipe is provided with a cooler using a room temperature refrigerant, and a gas circulation fan is disposed in front of or behind the confluence point of both branch pipes, and in each of the two branch pipes in one direction or on both sides. A valve for controlling the flow rate of the gas flowing through the engine is interposed, and at least at an isothermal holding time, the air flow rate of the fan and the opening degree of the valve are adjusted so that the temperature after the joining point becomes a target temperature for the isothermal maintenance. The controller is installed. According to this method, the circulation passage can be divided into two and the one-way pipeline can be cooled in the same manner as the conventional fractionation furnace, so that it can be easily and quickly cooled to an isothermal holding temperature even at a huge heat load, for example, 100 thousand kca1 / hr. have.
As a system which does not branch into two circulation paths, the isothermal holding chamber is provided with a circulation path for circulating the gas sucked from a part of the chamber and outputting it back to the inside, and in the middle of the circulation path formed by the circulation path, A heater for heating the circulating wind and a cooler for cooling the circulating wind using a normal temperature refrigerant are provided. You can also think of ways to treat only natural heat dissipation without installing a cooler, but this is mostly impossible. For example, when a 500 kg workpiece is to be lowered at 200 ° C. for 10 minutes, its heat amount is about 50,000 kca1, which requires cooling capacity of at least 100,000 to 300,000 kca1 per hour. It is difficult to supplement with bay.
As a method of cooling to an isothermal holding temperature without dividing the circulation path into two, the cooler is formed by using a refrigerant coil or a tube of water cooling or air cooling, and the coil or tube is disposed in the circulation path or a pipe constituting the circulation path. It can be wound around the periphery. It is also possible to air-cool the customs section in the middle of the circuit. You may comprise the refrigerant tube arrange | positioned in the pipeline in the said circulation path, the pump which circulates the refrigerant | coolant which passes through this tube, and the water cooling apparatus which cools the said refrigerant | coolant externally.
Irrespective of the circulation path system, it is preferable to arrange a heat capacity contact material made of carbon or the like at least at the input end of the circulation path. By arranging the contact member, the temperature of the gas in the circulation path can always be kept constant, and isothermal holding can be easily controlled.

EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION Hereinafter, the best form for implementing this invention is demonstrated, referring an accompanying drawing. 1-6 is explanatory drawing of the continuous metal processing system used for the implementation of this invention.
1 is a series of all
In FIG. 1, a continuous metal processing system 6 according to an embodiment of the present invention is a
In order to supply the workpiece | work W to the
The
The
In order to increase the quenching effect in the
As shown in FIG.2 and FIG.3, the
There are a pair of
In the continuous metal processing system 6 of the present embodiment, a heat capacity condenser TCC is provided at a part of the input end of the circulating gas, that is, the
The method of adjusting the inert gas to a temperature for isothermal holding, for example, 300 ° C., means that the latter inert gas which can be sprayed onto the workpiece W is connected to the
The amount of gas flowing into the first and
At the start of cooling in the
The workpiece | work W is the temperature from the
Again, in FIG. 1, the
An inert gas
The operation of the continuous metal processing system 6 by the above configuration will be described with reference to FIG. 4. For convenience of explanation, the tact time (nh) of each
As shown in FIG. 4, although the workpiece | work W is maintained at room temperature (20 degreeC) in the
Cooling in the
When precooling is complete | finished in the
In isothermal holding, the inert gas circulating flow (output gas) 30 at 300 ° C. is alternately sprayed onto the workpiece W by the operation of the
In the isothermal holding curve of FIG. 4, if 10 minutes is required for preliminary cooling, the remaining tact time is 3 hours and 50 minutes. Even if you need 30 minutes to keep isothermal, you still have enough time. As a result, there is an excessively sufficient time to match the surface temperature Ts of the workpiece W and the center temperature Tc. In the meantime, since the
By the operation of the
While the workpiece W is cooled in the
By the above, the workpiece | work W is 820-1250 degreeC through the
As already shown, if the required time of the heating chamber is, for example, 4 hours, 30 minutes of isothermal holding time, and 30 minutes of gas cooling time, there is sufficient time margin for isothermal holding and gas cooling. Here, in the continuous metal processing system of this invention, as shown in FIG. 5, after cooling in the
Other embodiments will be described. 6 and 7 are explanatory views showing another configuration example of the isothermal holding chamber. The
6 and 7, the
A heat capacity capacitor (TCC) is provided at the top of the center of the vertical ducts (15L, 15R), and shaped carbon (TC) is disposed therein. In detail, the shape | molded carbon TC shown in FIG. 8 is accommodated in the three lost | divided partitions by the
When the cooling of the workpiece W and the isothermal holding are shown, the
As a method of cooling the

Since the preliminary cooling chamber is formed to have a larger diameter than other chambers in order to increase the amount of radiant heat dissipation, the preliminary cooling chamber can be cooled quickly and uniformly near the isothermal holding temperature.

The circulation passage is divided into two, one branch pipe is left as it is, and the other branch pipe is provided with a cooler using a normal temperature refrigerant, and a gas circulation fan is disposed in front of or behind the joining point of both branch pipes. A valve for controlling the flow rate of the gas flowing through each branch pipe is interposed in one direction or both sides of the engine, and at least isothermally maintained, the air flow rate of the fan and the temperature after the joining point become a target temperature for the isothermal maintenance. When the controller which controls the opening degree of the said valve | bulb etc. is provided, even if the cooling load in an isothermal holding chamber is large, it can respond easily, the controllability to a target temperature can be improved, and temperature control can be performed correctly.

In this configuration, it is possible to realize accurate isothermal holding with a simple configuration.
By arranging a heat capacity contact member for cooling and relaxing the hot inrush gas at the start of the isothermal holding operation to the intermediate temperature at least at the input end of the circulation path, the temperature of the circulating gas can be made an isothermal holding temperature and the temperature can be made uniform.
