Abstract

A trim mounting structure is provided to prevent damage to a fastener by a burr part formed in a hole of a panel by inserting or separating a fastening projection of a trim into/from a hollow part of the fastener. A trim mounting structure includes a fastener(60), a panel, and a trim(50). The fastener comprises a base part(64), a resilient flange(66), a conical insert part(68), and step parts. The fastening projection is integrally formed with the trim. The panel has holes(42) into which the conical insert part is inserted. The step parts are formed between the base part, the resilient flange, and the conical insert part. The resilient flange is biased downward to form an umbrella shape. The trim has a fastening projection(52).
