Abstract

A safety arrangement of a vehicle is provided to minimize injury of an occupant by closing a sun roof, restricting a seat belt, and deploying a curtain air bag upon judgment of roll-over. A safety arrangement includes a roll-over sensor(10), a sun shade opening/shutting unit(30), an obstacle sensor(12), and a controller(20). The roll-over sensor detects the degree of vehicle roll-over. The sun shade opening/shutting unit adjusts the opening/shutting operation of a sun shade mounted on a sun roof. The obstacle sensor is mounted on a frame of the sun roof. The controller controls the sun shade opening/shutting unit and opens/shuts the sun shade of the sun roof when the quantity of roll-over detected from the roll-over sensor exceeds a threshold value for vehicle roll-over. The controller stops shutting operation of the sun shade when an obstacle exists in the frame.
