A grommet for fixing a hood release cable is provided to improve assembling work thereof by forming the grommet in a symmetric structure with respect to a coupling part for a dash panel, and fixing the cable through first and second compressing projections. A grommet for fixing a hood release cable comprises a body part(110), a coupling part(120), a first projection(130) and a second projection(140). The body part has a hollow cylindrical shape to receive the hood release cable. The coupling part is provided at an outer surface of the body part to be press-fitted into a through hole of the dash panel. The first and second projections are projected from two openings of the body part to be compressed with the hood release cable. Drain holes(111,112) are perforated in the body part.
