Abstract

A rubber composition for a tire tread is provided to improve physical properties such as traction performance, abrasion resistance, etc. and to enhance environmental friendliness. A rubber composition comprises 1-40 parts by weight of an oil containing a large amount of aromatic components as a process oil based on 100 parts by weight of a rubber material, wherein the oil has a glass transition temperature of -40 to -20 deg.C and contains 40-55 % of an aromatic component. Preferably the rubber material is a natural rubber, a diene-based rubber, or their mixture.
