Abstract

An EPI(Each Per Inch) roller apparatus is provided to eliminate the necessity of changing EPI rollers by adjusting a single EPI roller in accordance with a wide variety of sizes of steel cords. An EPI roller apparatus includes roller pieces(4) arranged with an interval(3) for passage of a topped steel cord(2). The roller pieces are arranged along a rotating screw shaft(8) connected via a power transmission shaft(7) of a driving motor(6) controlled by a controller(5).
