Claims (5)
- 비디오 부호화기에서의 비디오 부호화 율제어 방법에 있어서,부호화하고자 하는 픽쳐(picture)에 대한 목표 비트량을 초기 설정하는 목표비트량 초기설정 단계;부호화된 픽쳐를 전송 패킷으로 패킷화하는데 사용되는 페이로드(payload)의 길이를 산출하는 페이로드길이 산출 단계;상기 산출된 페이로드의 길이에 따라 상기 목표 비트량을 조정하는 목표비트량 조정 단계; 및상기 목표비트량 조정 단계에서 조정된 목표 비트량에 따라 율제어를 수행하는 율제어 단계를 포함하는 전송 패킷의 길이를 고려한 비디오 부호화 율제어 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 페이로드길이 산출 단계는,부호화된 픽쳐를 패킷화하는데 필요한 패킷의 수와 「각 패킷에서 헤더 정보 및 사용자 데이터에 필요한 비트 수를 제외한, 부호화된 픽쳐를 패킷화하는데 사용될 수 있는 페이로드의 길이」를 구한 후, 상기 패킷 수와 각 패킷에서의 페이로드 길이를 이용하여 하나의 부호화된 픽쳐를 전송 패킷화하는데 사용되는 전체 페 이로드의 길이를 구하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송 패킷의 길이를 고려한 비디오 부호화 율제어 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 목표비트량 조정 단계는,상기 목표 비트량이 상기 페이로드의 길이에 맞도록 목표비트량을 상향 또는 하향 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송 패킷의 길이를 고려한 비디오 부호화 율제어 방법.
- 비디오 부호화 장치에 있어서,현재 부호화를 수행하고자 하는 픽쳐와 움직임 보상된 픽쳐와의 차이를 주파수 영역으로 변환한 후, 율제어 수단의 율제어에 따른 변환계수 양자화, 및 가변길이 부호화를 통하여 비디오 비트스트림으로 출력하기 위한 비디오 부호화 수단; 및전송 패킷의 길이를 고려한 '부호화 대상 픽쳐에 대한 목표비트량 조절'을 통하여 상기 비디오 부호화 수단을 율제어하기 위한 상기 율제어 수단을 포함하는 전송 패킷의 길이를 고려한 비디오 부호화 율제어에 의한 비디오 부호화 장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 율제어 수단은,제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항의 방법을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송 패킷의 길이를 고려한 비디오 부호화 율제어에 의한 비디오 부호화 장치.
