Abstract

본 발명은 디지털 케이블 텔리비전에서 프로그램 서치 방법에 관한 것으로, 현재 방송되고 있는 케이블 방송의 리모콘은 단지 채널을 바꾸는 기능외에는 특별한 기능이 없었다. 이런 기능만 가지고는 향후 서비스 될 디지털 케이블 방송 수신에 있어서 다양한 유저의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 없다. 따라서, 본 발명은 채널 서치를 디지털 케이블 텔리비전에서 제공 할 수 있도록 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 구성으로는 리모콘에 핫키를 구비하여 수신되는 SI정보를 추출하는 제1단계와, 추출된 SI정보를 프로그램의 카테고리별로 분류하는 제2단계와, 상기 제2단계에서 카테고리별로 분류된 프로그램을 상기 핫키에 의하여 선택될 수 있도록 핫키와 숫자키의 조합으로 지정하는 제3단계를 포함하는 것으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다. 이와같은 구성으로된 본 발명의 효과는 수 많은 채널을 하나하나 조작할 필요가 없이 원하는 채널 만을 선택하여 볼수 도 있고, 리모콘을 통하여 프로그램을 검색할 수도 있으므로 편리하게 방송을 시청할 수 있는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a program search method in a digital cable television, and the remote control of the cable broadcast currently being broadcast has no special function except the function of simply changing channels.
