Claims (5)
- 소정 파장의 광을 출사하는 적어도 하나의 광원과, 상기 광원으로부터 광신호를 받아 정보를 기록 및/또는 재생하는 광디스크와, 상기 광원으로부터 입사되는 광과 반사되는 광을 분리하는 적어도 하나 이상의 빔스프리터와, 상기 광디스크에서 출력 또는 반사되는 광을 수광하여 상기 광디스크의 정보신호 및 오차신호를 검출하는 광검출기를 구비하는 광픽업장치에 있어서,상기 광원과 상기 빔스프리터 사이의 광경로 상에는 상기 광원으로부터 입사되는 광 중 필요한 편광성분은 투과시키고 상기 광디스크에서 반사된 광이 다시 광원 쪽으로 진행하면서 상기 광원의 칩이나 그 밖의 광 경로상의 광부품에 의해 재차 반사되어 광검출기 측으로 유입되는 불필요한 편광성분의 광은 차단하기 위한 편광 필터를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 편광필터는 광원의 편광 방향 성분은 투과시키고 그와 180˚ 다른 편광 성분의 광은 차단하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광픽업장치는 큐빅형 빔스프리터인 제1 빔스프리터와, 플레이트형 빔스프리터인 제2 빔스프리터를 구비하되 상기 빔스프리터는 제2 빔스프리터인 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 광픽업장치는 DVD용 제1광원과 CD용 제2광원을 모두 구비하되 상기 두 광원 중 필요한 광원만을 선택적으로 상기 광디스크에 입사시키기 위하여 상기 제1 또는 제2광원과 상기 제2빔스프리터의 사이의 광경로 상에 상기 제1 빔스프리터를 설치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 편광필터는 상기 제1 빔스프리터와 상기 제2빔스프리터 사이의 광경로 상에 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업장치.
