Description
Claims (17)
- 상부기판과 하부기판 사이에 봉입된 액정층의 배향을 변화시킴으로써 화상을 표시하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 하부기판의 측면으로 광을 방사하는 광원;상기 하부기판의 상면과 하면 중 적어도 어느 한 면에 마련되어 상기 측면으로 입사된 광을 상면으로 방출시키는 미세구조체;상기 하부기판의 상면에 마련되어 일정한 입사각도 이상의 광은 반사시키고 나머지는 통과시키는 선택적 반사판;상기 하부기판의 하방에 마련되는 반사판;을 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,액정층으로 입사되는 광을 편광시키는 편광판을 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 편광판은, 상기 미세구조체와 상기 반사판과의 사이에 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 편광판은, 상기 선택적 반사판의 상방에 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 선택적 반사판은 광을 편광시키는 편광기능을 더 하도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 미세구조체는 상기 하부기판내의 광을 상기 반사판으로 회절시켜 상기 하부기판의 상면쪽으로 출사되도록 하는 홀로그램패턴인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 삭제
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 홀로그램패턴의 격자간격은 2㎛이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 상부기판과 하부기판 사이에 봉입된 액정층의 배향을 변화시킴으로써 화상을 표시하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 하부기판의 측면으로 광을 방사하는 광원;상기 하부기판의 상면과 하면 중 적어도 어느 한 면에 마련되어 상기 측면으로 입사된 광을 상면으로 방출시키는 미세구조체;상기 하부기판의 상면에 마련되는 것으로서, 일정한 입사각도 이상의 광은 반사시키고 나머지는 통과시키는 선택적 반사부와 모든 광을 반사시키는 전반사부가 구비된 광학판;상기 하부기판의 하방에 마련되는 반사판;을 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항에 있어서,액정층으로 입사되는 광을 편광시키는 편광판을 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 편광판은, 상기 미세구조체와 상기 반사판과의 사이에 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 편광판은, 상기 광학판의 상방에 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 광학판은, 각 화소 내에 상기 선택적 반사부와 상기 전반사부가 각각 적어도 하나씩 위치되도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 미세구조체는 상기 선택적 반사부를 통하여 광을 투과시킬 수 있는 위치에만 선택적으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 미세구조체는 상기 하부기판내의 광을 상기 반사판으로 회절시켜 상기 하부기판의 상면쪽으로 출사되도록 하는 홀로그램패턴인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 삭제
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 홀로그램패턴의 격자간격은 2㎛이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
