Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided are a rat model of hepatocellular carcinoma and a method for manufacturing the same by using hepatocarcinoma cell line, McA-RH7777(ATCC No. CRL-1601, USA). CONSTITUTION: The rat model of hepatocellular carcinoma is manufactured by injecting hepatocarcinoma cell line, McA-RH7777 or its derived hepatocarcinoma cell line, into the subscapula area of a buffalo rat having normal immunity to induce solid tumor; and implanting fraction of the solid tumor under the scapula to the liver of a buffalo rate having homogeneous genotype. The rat model shows histological features, such as apoptotic body, coagulative necrosis and desmoplasia.
