PURPOSE: A signal processing method is provided to carry out a function of jumping a track of information recorded on a CD by operating keys on a keyboard, thereby supplying a more sophisticated service to users. CONSTITUTION: A system enables a program for performing a track jump function to reside in an RAM of a DOS system by carrying out an ROM bias after turning on power of a computer where a CD ROM is mounted(100). The system decides whether a currently inputted key exists on a keyboard(102). If so, the system decides whether the inputted key has the track jump function(104). If so, the system performs the track jump function by the program residing in the RAM of the DOS system(106). If other key except the track jump function performing key is inputted, the system executes a corresponding function(108).
