Abstract

PURPOSE: A device for shifting a shaft center of an umbrella is provided to enable a center-shifted position to be firmly maintained, to optionally select a distance shifted as well as to enable the shaft center of the umbrella to be shifted simply by pressing a button, thereby making a user effectively keep away from heavy rain. CONSTITUTION: The device for shifting the shaft center of an umbrella having a hollow umbrella shaft(20) consisting of a lower shaft part(20A) and an upper shaft part(20B), a lower supporting member(30), an upper supporting member(40), a first link member(50), a second link member(60), and an elongate stem(80), comprises: stopping grooves formed at an end of the first link member(50); stopping members(56A,56B,66A,66B) formed at both ends of the first and second link members(50,60); a locking member(82); and an operating member(83) for shifting the locking member(82) lengthwise so that an end of the locking member(82) is inserted into or released from the stopping grooves.
