Abstract

PURPOSE: A display color correction pattern and a display color correction method using the display color correction pattern are provided to offer a pattern with due regard to the human visual characteristic in order to accurate display correction to allow a user to easily and correctly find the same gamma value. CONSTITUTION: A display color correction pattern is displayed on a display screen so that a user controls the pattern to correct tone and color characteristics of display. The display color correction pattern includes a medium square having a horizontal strip pattern and a predetermined brightness value, an inner square that is placed inside the medium square and has a varying brightness value, and an outer square that is arranged outside the medium square and having the same brightness value as the varying brightness value of the inner square. A display color correcting method using the display color correction pattern includes a step of controlling brightness and contrast of the display into optimum brightness and optical contrast(S21), a step of displaying red, green and blue display color correction patterns on the display screen simultaneously or sequentially(S22), steps in which a user adjusts each pattern to make the inner square, medium square and outer square have the same brightness(S23,S25,S27), a step of producing ICC profile using a gamma value obtained by the previous step(S28).
