Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for simultaneous analysis of multiple elements of hair sample by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is provided to precisely analyze the nutrition elements of ppm level and heavy metal elements of low ppb level simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: A method for simultaneous analysis of multiple elements of hair sample by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry includes the steps of washing a hair sample with surfactant, deionized water, and acetone, preparing a sample solution by radiating microwave to a nitric acid diluted solution receiving the washed hair sample, grouping the sample solution per detecting element by diluting the sample solution into two groups of 200-300times and 2000-30000times, and simultaneously analyzing the multiple elements contained in the hair sample by carrying out the ICP-MS for the diluted sample solutions and correcting the result values by the formulas. Wherein Inet represents the intensity of mass number 75 from which ArCl molecular ion interface is removed, Im represents the intensity of mass number 75 in which the influence of interface is included before the correction, Im represents the intensity of mass number 51, Im represents the intensity of mass number 77, Im represents the intensity of mass number 82, and a is mass discrimination per unit mass of a used mass analyzer.
