Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided is a dry pulverizer for producing cellulose ether which prevents heat from being generated in a rotating plate and separating device by injecting air in a great amount. CONSTITUTION: The pulverizer includes a rotating plate(7) to rotate material with air supplied from a material supplying device(3) at the center of the pulverizer, a separating device(1) to separate microparticles, a removing tube(5) to remove particles of a large size, a guide ring device(5) and a liner(6). In this pulverizer, air is used to inhibit increase of temperature of cellulose ether. The rotating plate classifies particles of cellulose ether according to their sizes by its rotating speed. The material(2) injected from the material supplying device(3) at 80 deg.C is transported by air injected from the air injector(8) to the separating device(1) through the guide ring(5). Microparticles having a size of 120 micrometer or less are discharged for a subsequent process by the rotating plate(7).
