Abstract
PURPOSE: An auto-sound book using a CdS photoconductive cell is provided to reduce the error possibility in recognizing a page by automatically and correctly detecting a corresponding opened page through the CdS photoconductive cell without an error operation. CONSTITUTION: An automatic power switching CdS cell(100) is separately mounted within a book cover to operate a power unit(200) only when an opening of the book cover is detected. A power detecting unit(300) detects the power unit(200) under the control of a control unit(500) to transmit a low battery signal to a buzzer and an LED(Light Emitting Diode) if the power is less than a predetermined voltage. A CdS cell switching unit(600) minimizes a resistance value of a corresponding CdS photoconductive cell. A page recognizing unit(400) is inserted in and installed within respective pages(P1-P16) of a book to detect light being incident to an opened page. The page recognizing unit(400) uses a plurality of CdS photoconductive cells, each of which converts a detected light energy into an electric energy to output it as a page detecting signal.
