Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a compressor of an inverter refrigerator is provided to reduce power consumption by controlling the peak power generated during the initial starting of the refrigerator, through the inverter control system. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S302) of judging whether it is a compressor turn-on condition; a step(S303) of judging whether it is a rapid mode, if it is a compressor turn-on condition; a step(S304) of supplying voltage of 190V and rotational frequency of 40Hz to a compressor motor, if it is a rapid mode; a step(S305) of supplying voltage of 210V and operational frequency of 45Hz to the compressor motor; a step(S306) of supplying voltage of 240V and rotational frequency of 60Hz to the compressor motor; a step(S307) of judging whether the temperature of the freezing compartment has reached a preset temperature level; a step(S316) of turning off the compressor, if the temperature has reached the preset temperature level; a step(S309) of supplying voltage of 190V and rotational frequency of 40Hz to the compressor motor, if it is not a rapid mode; a step(S310) of judging whether it is a silent mode; a step(S311) of supplying voltage of 190V and rotational frequency of 40Hz to the compressor motor; a step(S308) of judging whether it is a compressor turn-off condition; a step(S312) of supplying voltage of 210V and rotational frequency of 45Hz to the compressor motor, if it is not a silent mode; a step(S313) of judging whether the refrigerator is over-loaded; a step(S314) of supplying voltage of 240V and rotational frequency of 60Hz to the compressor motor, if the refrigerator is not over-loaded; a step(S315) of supplying voltage of 225V and rotational frequency of 50Hz to the compressor motor; and a step of judging whether it is a compressor turn-off condition, and turning off the compressor if it is a compressor turn-off condition.
