CONSTITUTION: The polynorbornene-based rubber composition comprises 100pts.wt. of a rubber mixture comprising polynorbornene as a plastic rubber with high glass transition temperature and an oil extended high styrene rubber in the ratio of 7:3, 40-90pts.wt. of a carbon black, 45-250pts.wt. of a processing oil, rubber chemicals, an adhesive, and etc.

본 발명은 공기압 타이어에 사용되는 고무 조성물에 있어서 가류한 후 분쇄하여 상용 트레드 고무에 필러(FILLER)로 사용되는 고무 조성물로서 폴리노보넨(POLYNORBORNENE)과 오일익스텐디드 하이스티렌 고무(OIL EXTENDED HIGH STYRENE RUBBER)로 된 고무를 혼용하고 카본블랙등 일반 고무 약품을 가하여 조성하므로써 고무조성물의 가공성을 개선하고 원가절감 및 생산성 향상을 도모한 것이다. 이 조성물은 가류분쇄하여 범용 트레드 고무 조성물에 필러로 첨가함으로써 타이어의 스노우(SNOW) 성능 및 트랙션(TRACTION) 성능을 향상시키게 된다.The present invention is a rubber composition used as a filler in commercial tread rubber after vulcanization and pulverization in a rubber composition used in pneumatic tires. 일반적으로 타이어에 사용되는 고무조성물의 물성은 공정성을 함께 고려하여 설계하는데 대체물질이 없고 어느 특정 물성을 필요로 할때에 가공성이 좋지 않은 재료를 사용하게 되는 경우가 있다. 그러나 가공성이 좋지 않으면 공정불안의 요인이 되기도 하고 생산성의 하락을 초래하여 원가 상승의 원인이 되기도 한다. 공기압 타이어에서 트레드 고무조성물은 타이어의 성능측면에서 가장 중요한 역할을 하는데 성능향상을 위해 다양한 신소재의 적용시도가 행해지고 있다. 본 발명자는 타이어의 요구특성중 가장 중요한 특성인 핸들링성능과 마모성능을 동시에 향상시키기 위하여 싸이클로펜타디엔(CYCLOPENTADIENE)과 에틸렌(ETHYLENE)을 공중합시킨 폴리노보넨(POLYNORBORNENE)을 타이어에 적용 시도하였으나 폴리노보넨에 카본블랙 및 화학약품, 오일등을 넣어 배합하면 폴리노보넨의 탄성(ELASTICITY)이 너무 높아서 밀(MILL)에서 시이팅(SHEETING) 작업을 할때 고무가 롤에 감기지 않고 겉돌게 되어 시이팅을 할 수 없는 상태가 되고 절단하는데 큰 어려움이 있었다. 또한 이를 타이어에서 요구되는 물성에 적합하도록 컴파운딩(COMPOUNDING)할 경우에도 고무의 너브(NERVE)한 성질때문에 이의 개선이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 따라 여러가지 시험을 통하여 폴리노보넨에 오일익스텐디드 하이스티렌고무(OIL EXTENDED HIGH STYRENE RUBBER)를 70대 30정도로 유지하고 카본블랙, 및 공정유 등을 함유한 타이어용 고무 조성물로 설계를 한 결과, 요구되는 물성을 유지하면서 최적의 공정성을 나타내는 고무조성물을 얻게 되었다. 여기서 하이스티렌고무(HIGH STYRENE RUBBER)를 사용하게 된 배경은 핸들링(HANDLING) 성능과 유리전이온도(Tg)를 유지하기 위한 수단으로 시도하였는바 폴리노보넨(POLYNORBORNENE)과 오일익스텐디드 하이스티렌고무(OIL EXTENDED HIGH STYRENE RUBBER)와의 상용성도 아주 우수하였다.In general, the physical properties of the rubber composition used in the tire design in consideration of fairness, there is no substitute material and when a certain physical property is required, there is a case that a material with poor workability is used.
