a polyanionic polymer component;

A granular polymer-micronutrient composition, wherein said polyanionic polymer component and said micronutrient component are compressed into homogenous composite granules having a mesh size ranging from about 6 to about 100 US mesh.

b) the C type repeat unit is selected from the group consisting of repeat units derived from substituted or unsubstituted monomers of itaconic acid, itaconic anhydride, and any isomers, esters, and partial or complete salts of any of them, and mixtures of any of them, the C type repeat unit being optionally substituted with one or more C1-C6 straight or branched chain alkyl groups that are substantially free of ring structures and halo atoms, and the salt has a salt forming cation selected from the group consisting of metals, amines, and mixtures thereof;

The granular polymeric micronutrient composition of claim 1, wherein the G-type repeating unit is selected from the group consisting of repeating units derived from substituted or unsubstituted sulfonated monomers having at least one carbon-carbon double bond and at least one sulfonate group, and substantially free of aromatic rings and amide groups, and any isomers, and partial or complete salts, and any mixtures thereof, wherein the G-type repeating unit may be substituted with one or more C1-C6 linear or branched alkyl groups substantially free of ring structures and halo atoms, and wherein the salt of the G-type repeating unit has a salt-forming cation selected from the group consisting of metals, amines, and mixtures thereof.
