d. an outsole made of a rubber material and attached to the midsole opposite the lasting board;
e. wherein said mycelial material is at least one of tanned and dyed to resemble leather, and said upper is constructed and constructed to resemble leather athletic footwear. .

Athletic sneakers containing:
a. an upper comprising at least a portion of mycelial material comprising one or more proteins from an organism other than mycelium;
b. a lasting board attached to said upper and defining an internal cavity for receiving a foot;
c. a midsole made of foam material and attached to the lasting board; and
d. an outsole made of a rubber material and attached to the midsole opposite the lasting board;
e. Here, said upper includes at least one portion molded into a three-dimensional shape.
Claims (22)

(ii) one of the portions of the mycelial material comprises a heel counter and the respective implementation of the mycelial material is relatively stiff compared to at least one of the portions;
17. An article of footwear according to claim 16 .

17. An article of footwear according to claim 16 .
