f) generating a ratio of the number of stimulatory antigens to inhibitory antigens representing the response profile of the subject;
g) comparing the response profile of the subject to the target response profile;
wherein the comparison of the subject's response profile and the target response profile is the indicator, wherein the indicator is whether the subject is a candidate subject for initiation, continuation, modification, discontinuation, or non-initiation of cancer treatment The method above indicating that it should be selected .

j) whether one or more lymphocytes are activated by or unresponsive to one or more tumor antigens presented by one or more APCs, e.g. determining by assessing (e.g., detecting or measuring) the level of expression and/or secretion (e.g., increase or decrease in level relative to control);
k) identifying one or more tumor antigens as stimulatory and/or inhibitory antigens;
l) generating a ratio of the number of stimulatory antigens to inhibitory antigens representing said target response profile;
the method further comprising generating the target response profile by a method comprising:

a) obtaining, providing or generating a library comprising bacterial cells or beads comprising a plurality of tumor antigens, wherein each bacterial cell or bead of said library comprises a different tumor antigen;
b) contacting said bacterial cells or beads with antigen presenting cells (APCs) from said subject, wherein said APCs internalize said bacterial cells or beads;
c) contacting the APCs with lymphocytes from the subject under conditions suitable for activation of the lymphocytes by tumor antigens presented by one or more APCs;
d) whether one or more lymphocytes are activated by or unresponsive to one or more tumor antigens presented by one or more APCs, e.g. determining by assessing (e.g., detecting or measuring) the level of expression and/or secretion (e.g., increase or decrease in level relative to control);
e) identifying one or more tumor antigens as stimulatory and/or inhibitory antigens;
f) comparing the number of stimulatory antigens to the number of inhibitory antigens;
wherein a comparison of the number of stimulatory antigens and the number of inhibitory antigens is the index, and the index is the subject as a candidate subject for initiation, continuation, modification, discontinuation, or non-initiation of cancer therapy is to be selected .
