Description
The present invention relates to a dispensing head used in a three-dimensional modeling apparatus for producing a three-dimensional object by a hot melt lamination method, a three-dimensional modeling apparatus and a three-dimensional modeling method using the dispensing head.
。As one of three-dimensional modeling methods for producing a three-dimensional object, a thermal melting lamination method is known. As a three-dimensional modeling apparatus using this hot-melt lamination method, one using a solid filament made of a thermoplastic resin such as an ABS resin or a PLA resin as a modeling material is known (for example, see Patent Document 1).
Such a three-dimensional modeling apparatus has a three-dimensionally movable dispense head. The dispense head includes a material supply unit that supplies a solid filament, and a heating unit that thermally melts the solid filament supplied by the material supply unit. And a material discharge means having an orifice for discharging a molten thermoplastic resin. The material supply means is composed of a drive roller mechanism that pinches and feeds the solid filament. This drive roller mechanism is composed of a drive roller that is rotationally driven by an appropriate drive source, and a support roller that is disposed opposite the drive roller. The surface of the drive roller is subjected to, for example, flat knurling in order to prevent or suppress slippage with the solid filament (see Patent Document 2 and Patent Document 3).
In such a three-dimensional modeling apparatus, the solid filament is supplied to the heating unit by being sandwiched and fed between the drive roller and the support roller in the material supply unit of the dispense head. In this heating means, the solid filament is heated to form a molten thermoplastic resin. The molten thermoplastic resin is extruded in the form of a strand from the orifice of the material discharge means toward the forming stage by being extruded by the subsequent solid filament. Then, the dispense head moves according to a preset pattern, whereby a required three-dimensional shape is produced on the molding stage.
However, it has been found that the above three-dimensional modeling apparatus has the following problems when an elastomer material is used as the solid filament.
Elastomer materials are soft and easily deformable at room temperature. Therefore, when a solid filament made of an elastomer material is sandwiched between the driving roller and the support roller in the material supply means, the solid filament has irregularities corresponding to irregularities caused by knurling applied to the surface of the driving roller. Is formed. And when unevenness | corrugation is formed in a solid filament, since the bending strength of the recessed part will fall, the said solid filament will buckle in the recessed part. As a result, the solid filament cannot be stably supplied, and therefore it is difficult to obtain a required three-dimensional shape.
An object of the present invention is to provide a dispensing head in which a solid filament made of an elastomeric material is used, so that the solid filament is stably supplied, and thus a thermally melted polymer material can be stably discharged.

Below the material supply means 11, a heating means 20 for thermally melting the solid filament F supplied by the material supply means 11 is provided. The heating means 20 in this example is constituted by a

Moreover, it is preferable that the distance from the edge part of the material supply means 11 to the heating means 20 is 10-30 mm. If this distance is in the above range, the solid filament F can be reliably prevented from buckling. When this distance is too small, the solid filament F may be softened by the heat from the
Between the material supply means 11 and the heating means 20, a cylindrical

In the dispensing
In the above, the heating temperature of the solid filament F by the heating means 20 is appropriately set according to the material of the solid filament F, but is usually 140 to 180 ° C.

In the dispensing

FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the configuration of still another example of the dispensing head of the present invention. The dispense

On each of the peripheral surface of the

In the dispensing
According to such a dispense
