Hemodialysis has traditionally been performed for patients with decreased kidney function, but there are problems in terms of increased treatment costs and the patient's rehabilitation into society. In contrast, in recent years continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (hereinafter referred to as
(abbreviated as CAPD) has been developed and is being put into practical use. CAPD performs peritoneal dialysis by aseptically connecting a bag containing dialysate to a peritoneal catheter and introducing the dialysate into the peritoneal cavity. After a certain period of time has elapsed after the introduction of the dialysate, the dialysate is drained from the peritoneal cavity into the original bag, the bag is then replaced with a new one, and the unused dialysate is introduced into the peritoneal cavity again. This bug exchange operation is generally performed by
It is performed four times a day, but patients usually perform the replacement operation themselves.

CAPD is advantageous in terms of reintegration into society, as it requires less treatment costs than hemodialysis and allows patients to carry around a bag so they can move around freely during dialysis. It is expected that it will become popular.

The biggest problem with CAPD is that the peritoneal cavity has a low defense against bacteria, making it easy for peritonitis due to bacterial infection to occur. Therefore, various proposals have been made regarding the connection between the bag and the catheter in order to reduce the occurrence of peritonitis.
Perfection has not yet been obtained. It is preferable to detect and treat the occurrence of peritonitis as early as possible, and for this purpose, it is common practice to observe the presence or absence of turbidity in the dialysate discharged from the peritoneal cavity.
That is, when peritonitis occurs, the dialysate often becomes cloudy, which is visually observed. However, as described above, since the patient himself or herself replaces the bag, the patient must also determine whether the dialysate is cloudy or not.

[Means for solving the problem] The above object is to form a dialysate bag with a transparent or translucent synthetic resin sheet, and to have two or more characters, figures or symbols (hereinafter referred to as "characters") of different shading on the surface of the bag. This is achieved by attaching a label (abbreviated as "etc.") so that it can be seen through from the opposite side of the bag.

The sheet forming the dialysate bag is preferably made of a soft synthetic resin such as polyvinyl chloride or polyvinyl acetate. Further, the sheet needs to be transparent or semi-transparent so that the characters, etc. can be seen through from the opposite side of the bag. However, it is not necessary to make the entire bag transparent or semi-transparent, and only the portions necessary for seeing through characters etc. may be sufficient.

There are two methods for attaching characters, etc. to the bag surface: a method of pasting a label with characters, etc. printed thereon, and a method of directly printing on the bag. When affixing a label, it must be affixed so that the printed side of the bag is in contact with the side of the bag so that it can be observed from the opposite side of the bag. Therefore, it is convenient to apply an adhesive to the printed surface and then affix the label, or to affix the printed label by sandwiching another label coated with an adhesive.

There are no particular restrictions on the type or size of the characters used, and it is convenient to arrange numbers, alphanumeric characters, etc. in order of shading for easy identification.

In the present invention, the turbidity of the dialysate is determined by observing characters of different shading through the dialysate from the opposite side of the bag, and determining the turbidity of the dialysate from the readable characters with the lowest concentration. In other words, if the dialysate is cloudy, it becomes difficult to distinguish pale letters, etc., so if the minimum readable concentration is higher than normal, it is possible that peritonitis has occurred, and necessary measures should be taken immediately. I will try to take it.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a plan view of an embodiment of the dialysate bag for peritoneal dialysis of the present invention. A label 2 is attached to one side of the bag 1 (bottom side in the figure). Necessary information such as the product name, date of manufacture, and lot number are written on the surface of the label 2 (the surface opposite to the surface shown). The numbers 1 to 4 are printed in increasing density on the back of the bag, and adhesive is applied to the bag to attach it to the bag.

In the bag before use, the dialysate is clear so all of these numbers printed on the label can be read. However, if the dialysate discharged after dialysis is slightly cloudy, the faintest "1" becomes unreadable, and if it becomes even more cloudy, both "1" and "2" become unreadable. For example, if you normally could read all the numbers, but at one point you could no longer read the ``1,'' and the next time you replaced the bag, you could no longer read the ``2'' either. There is a high possibility that peritonitis has occurred, so immediately consult a doctor. will take appropriate action.

In the above example, there are four levels of shading, but it may also be three or five levels. Furthermore, instead of adding shading to the numbers themselves, figures or symbols of the same shape with different shading may be printed in order and numbers may be added to them in order.

According to the present invention, it is possible to measure the turbidity of a dialysate with a simple configuration such as adding letters of different shading to the surface of a bag. Moreover, as the lateral measurement operation is simple and anyone can perform it as described above, it can be easily carried out by the patient himself, and is extremely useful for detecting peritonitis.
