Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title gas economically, without the necessity of the installation of particular facilities, by introducing a liquefied gas into a mixed gas after a decarbonation step and thereby performing cooling and dehydration simultaneously with heat control for the mixed gas. CONSTITUTION:Mixed gas F contg. methane which is prepd. by conducting steam reforming of a hydrocarbon in reforming step is freed of most of the CO2 contained in the gas F by absorption in an absorber column 1 in a decarbonation step. Subsequently, the mixed gas is brought into contact in an injector 2 with mists of a liquefied gas L introduced and dispersed therein. As a result, the sensible heat of the gas F and the condensation heat of steam are deprived of, thereby attaining evaporation and gasification. Accordingly, the temp. of the gas F is lowered and steam portions are condensed and liquefied. The gas F thus cooled and contg. condensed water is freed of condensed water C in a separator 3, and fed as an alternate natural gas P having a moisture content not greater than that at the dew point.
