Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recording head which is always efficient in discharging stability, by providing an extended part in which a side wall of a passage extends into a liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:An extended part of a wall 3-1 of a passage extending into a liquid chamber 5 is provided to a recording head. Thereby, good discharging stability of having eliminated mutual interference between the passages can be obtained. Though it is good to select a length of the extended part within a range in which good discharging stability can be obtained according to a size and structure of the passage, the number of passages, etc., a relation of l1 to l2, for instance, l2/l1 is preferably not less than 0.5. Further, since the wall 3-1 of the passage in the extended part is not covered by a top board, supply of ink to the passage is thoroughly performed therefrom, and features of the recording head represented by responding frequency owing to the establishment of the extended part receive no adverse influence.
