Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress variation of tensile force of a sheet material and to prevent breakdown of board, by employing a starting speed control gain for operating a speed deviation of a motor when each motor is started. CONSTITUTION:A speed control circuit 20 controls an upstream rolling machine in a continuous rolling system corresponding to the difference between a reference speed signal NR1 and a feedback signal NF1. A speed control circuit 30 controls a downstream rolling machine corresponding to the difference between a reference speed signal NR2 and a feedback signal NF2. Gain selection circuits 22, 32 employ an integrated gain and a proportional gain in the speed control circuits 20, 30 as starting integrated gains G21, G41 and starting proportional gains G11, G31. When a starting current is detected, switching to integrated gains G22, G42 and proportional gains G12, G32 other than the starting gains is carried out.
