Abstract

PURPOSE:To set an incoming group freely uniformly without giving restriction to the setting of an extension telephone number by registering a specific number different from the number of the extension telephone set used in an exchange as the telephone number representing the uniform incoming telephone set group. CONSTITUTION:A specific telephone number not used in an extension telephone set in an exchange 1 is registered in a storage section 5 with respect to each uniform incoming telephone set group and in the presence of a call, a control section 4 identifies to which of the specific telephone numbers registered in each uniform incoming telephone set group the incoming telephone number corresponds by retrieving the registration content. When the number corresponds to no number, the extension telephone set corresponding to the incoming telephone number is called. When the number corresponds to the specific telephone number of any uniform incoming telephone set group, an idle extension telephone set in the relevant group is called. Thus, the uniform incoming group is set without giving restriction to the setting of the extension telephone number.
