Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify image processing, by adding the sign bit showing the attribute of an echo signal in writing said signal in a frame memory to write the same in the frame memory in a state magnified to the same number of pixels as a CRT and performing reading on the basis of the synchronous signal of a television and separating the sign bit at that time to form an interpolation parameter to perform interpolation operation. CONSTITUTION:6-bit data is inputted to a sign bit adding circuit 10 to add the sign bit showing the attribute of said data thereto and 8-bit data is synthesized to be stored in a frame memory 12. The frame memory 12 has the same number of addresses as the number of the pixels of a CRT and the data red from the frame memory 12 is separated into the sign bit (2-bit) and image data (6-bit). The sign bit is inputted to a discrimination circuit 14 and a signal necessary for interpolation is formed in an interpolation control generating circuit 16 by the signal extracted by the discrimination circuit 14. An interpolation circuit 18 loading 6-bit image data receives the formed interpolation parameter to perform interpolation operation. The output data of the interpolation circuit 18 is sent to the CRT to be displayed with respect to all of pixels.
