Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the measuring reliability of intraocular pressure, by calculating one of the max. intraocular pressure value, min. intraocular pressure value and average intraocular value of an eye to be examined in addition to a measured intraocular pressure value. CONSTITUTION:An operation circuit 53 calculates the max. variation width (a) of a pulse waveform PW as the difference between the detected voltages Vmax, Vmin on the basis of the data of the pulse waveform PW of a frame memory 45 and calculates the variation quantity (b) of the pulse waveform PW at the intraocular pressure measuring time tP of an intraocular pressure measured value IOP as the difference between detected voltages Vcp, Vmin at a peak value CP. The min. intraocular pressure value IOPl, the max. intraocular pressure value IOPh and the average intraocular pressure value IOP of an eye E to be examined are calculated from the measured intraocular pressure value IOP, the max. variation width (a) of the pulse waveform PW and the pulse wave variation amount (b) of the pulse waveform PW by operation.
