Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic characteristics of a wound core using an amorphous thin magnetic strip readily in a short time, by connecting both end parts of the start of winding and the end of winding of the wound core to both end parts of block core, which is separately prepared and wound with a DC-magnetic-field forming coil, and conducting a current through the coil, which is wound around the block core. CONSTITUTION:A wound core 11, a block core 4 and the like are put in an annealing furnace. The wound core 11 is annealed at a specified temperature for a specified time. During the annealing, DC is conducted through a coil 12 from a DC power source 3. A DC magnetic field is applied to the block core 4, and magnetic flux is generated. The magnetic flux is also generated in the wound core 11 through the start of winding 11a and the end of winding 11b of the wound core 11, which are connected to both end parts 4a and 4b. The magnetic flux in the wound core 11 flows along the winding direction of an amorphous thin magnetic strip. The magnetic flux hardly flows in the laminating direction since an air layer is present and resistance is high. Therefore, the magnetic flux flows in the wound core 11 efficiently, and magnetic characteristics based on induced magnetic anisotropy are improved.
