Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the imperfect contact of a slider and a medium, to easily increase a contact pressure in a core gap vicinity, and to obtain a satisfactory read/write waveform without a level fluctuation by bearing the medium by means of a three-point support. CONSTITUTION:To the surface part of a slider 42 to be faced to the medium, in the vicinity to contain a core gap 41a of a core 41 and at two points corresponding to remaining two vertexes at the time of drawing a triangle to make the gap part into one vertex, sliding contact parts 45a-45c to be in contact with the medium are provided, respectively. The sliding contact parts 45a-45c are bulged from the main body of the slider 42, and the part of the main body is so made not as to be in contact with the medium. Consequently, a magnetic head is made to bear the medium by the three-point support. Thus, the imperfect contact of the slider 42 and the medium can be eliminated, the contact pressure in the core gap 41a vicinity can be easily increased, and the satisfactory read/ write waveform without the level fluctuation can be obtained.
